Inspiring Future Miners Starts Early

June 15, 2026

One of our favourite ways to give back to the community? Getting into classrooms and connecting with the next generation.

Earlier this month, Jesse Smith visited the Junior and Senior Kindergarten classes at Silver Birches Public School to talk about mining and how it shapes everyday life. From the pencils they write with to the devices we use every day, mining is everywhere, and it was incredible to see how curious and engaged these young minds were.

The students asked some fantastic questions, and it’s safe to say the future is in good hands.

A special shoutout to Jesse’s four-year-old assistant, Levi, who stole the show and made the whole visit even more memorable.

Engaging with youth and inspiring the next generation of miners, tradespeople, and industry leaders is something we’re proud to do. Because investing in community starts early.
