At Cementation, we are honoured to share a meaningful connection through our partnership with Kitikmeot Corporation, a 100% Inuit-owned company in Nunavut. Together, we formed Kitikmeot Cementation Mining & Development Ltd. (KCMD) — a joint venture that has now proudly marked 20 years of partnership, collaboration, and excellence in the mining industry.
Over the past two decades, KCMD has played a vital role in advancing opportunities for Inuit participation in major northern mining projects in Canada, specializing in the design and construction of underground infrastructure including shafts, developments, and raises.
As we recognize International Inuit Day, we also celebrate this enduring partnership — one built on mutual respect, shared success, and a commitment to meaningful Indigenous engagement.
