We are proud to announce that Cementation Canada and Big Grassy First Nation LP have been selected as the recipients of the 2025 CIM Indigenous Partnership Award!
This significant recognition highlights our shared commitment to developing strong, respectful, and sustainable partnerships that honour Indigenous rights, cultures, and aspirations. At Cementation, we are dedicated to upholding the rights of Indigenous Peoples and ensuring their well-being and inclusion in all our mining projects. Our partnerships are founded on trust, mutual respect, and the goal of achieving lasting, community-led benefits.
Together with Big Grassy First Nation, we have co-developed and delivered four cycles of our New Miner Training Program, empowering local community members with the knowledge, skills, and confidence to pursue meaningful careers in mining. These initiatives not only support employment but also contribute to broader objectives like entrepreneurship, cultural revitalization, and economic self-determination.
We are also grateful to collaborate with Noojimo Health, mental wellness counselling services, whose culturally centred mental health support is fostering healing, strength, and wellness within the community.
This award belongs to everyone who has played a role in making this partnership a success. Miigwetch to Big Grassy First Nation LP, Noojimo Health, and all those who continue to help us walk this path together.
