We’re honoured to share some exciting news!
Cementation is proud to have been recognized as the 2025 Innovation Winner by the OMCSA Ontario Mine Contractors Safety Association (OMCSA) for our Tugger Safety Improvements.
This innovation enhances safety by physically separating tugger operators from the direction of line pulls and potential hazards like broken ropes or lifting components—raising the bar for risk reduction and workplace protection in underground operations. The team also improved the guarding system, installed means to test brakes independently, and ensure zero energy when air is turned off to the unit.
The award was presented earlier today at the WSN Safety Conference in Sudbury, Ontario, and we are grateful to Workplace Safety North and our industry peers for this recognition.
