In the last month alone, Vern presented to the local Utah SME chapter, connected with a Grade 7 class in Nezperce, Idaho, and participated in the community career fair to round it all out. Through activities like “Mining for Cupcakes” and open conversations about opportunities in our industry, he is helping young people view mining through a new lens while building genuine connections along the way.
