Over the weekend, Albert François reflected on his time at Prospectors and Developers Association of Canada (PDAC) 2026 and recognized something familiar.
More than a century ago, François patented the cementation grouting process that gave our company its name—an advancement that helped make deep shaft sinking safer and more reliable. Today, that same spirit of ingenuity continues to influence how our industry approaches the challenges of modern mining.
PDAC 2026 brought together thousands of leaders, innovators, and partners from around the world to explore the future of mineral exploration and development. For our team, it was an opportunity to reconnect with clients and colleagues, exchange ideas, and take part in meaningful discussions shaping the industry.
We were especially proud to see our team contributing to those conversations. Ryan Payne, Patrick Hudd, and Joe Bell participated in panel sessions focused on developing talent and harnessing artificial intelligence, sharing perspectives on the opportunities and responsibilities ahead for our sector.
Events like PDAC remind us that mining has always been a collaborative industry—built on partnerships, engineering excellence, and a willingness to challenge what’s possible. In many ways, that spirit is exactly why Cementation carries the name it does.
Thank you to everyone who took the time to connect with our team last week. We look forward to continuing these conversations and building on the momentum ahead.
